This is a three novella box set. The story is about Katie and Zach. Katie is 16 and Zach is 17. They have been friends and in love for many years. Zach decides he feel too constrained in the Amish world. He wants knowledge and he wants to experience life in the English world. He has decided to leave the faith and go to college. Katie is heartbroken and sets out a plan to keep Zach in the Amish life. Zach wants Katie to go with him.This wasn’t one of my favorite books in the beginning . It did not have much depth. However the novella improved by part 3 and I found I got involved with the story.

Enjoyed this book so much. It was a interesting love story and had enough suspense in it to make you want to keep reading. Would definitely recommend it. The scriptures added to the message.
I liked the way the reader is lead to solve everyday young peoples problems whether Amish or English. I would recommend this for the young adult just starting dating.
This book shows how we can reason ourselves into any thing if we don't truly seek in our youth, adult or Senior time gods true will & wait.
I enjoy reading about the Amish, as I lived for a while in North Idaho among the Mennonites, and found them to be very "real" and
caring people, not just for their own, but for the entire community.
My closest neighbors were the most wonderful people to be around and always sharing food, receipts and gifts.
I never felt more welcome in a area that I did there!
Heartwarming Amish and delightful! These stories are filled with what you love about Amish life style and struggles of the people who live outside "the norm". Very quick reads for anyone who loves to read but does not have a lot of time but you do need to by the whole set as the story continues from one book to the next. I was surprised how short book one was. I enjoyed it.
What a blessing to know that when the storms of life seem to rage in an effort to destroy all that we seemingly have or hope to have, God can show us so much after it passes. Katie thought she was losing her one true love, Zach and was desperate to do what she believed, the unthinkable to hold on to him. She prayed and tried to trust God but still tried to do it all herself. Her decision might have cost her her family name, integrity and the respect of her family but she wanted, what she wanted. She didn't trust God. Not really. The same applies to her family, especially Katie's father. He could quote scripture and rule with an iron fist, but he failed to show Katie that because he trusted God, (not so much his family name or reputation), she should too. A storm was brewing in the Lapp family and no one had the faith to say, "Peace be Still." Lies, Anger, Confusion and family tension were all the result of the lack of trust and a storm, figuratively and physically, descended upon the lives of the characters in A Lancaster Amish Storm. I enjoyed the story because it showed how we can be so caught up in what we want we can totally miss God even when we have access to His word. In some cases some really need to see that everything can be taken in one roll of thunder for us to finally trust God and recognize what is really important. We are all fallible and can allow our flesh to lead. Zach was my favorite. Although unsure about what to do, he seemed to trust God. He defended the weak and in the face of adversity, physical and otherwise, he stood! When the Storm passes,we can see much clearer and recognize that all we need is to really trust God in word and in deed! Thank you, Mrs. Price for writing such a wonderful story. It blessed me!

This author Ruth Price is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. Her books are wholesome and sprinkled with passages from the bible that I find very welcome.
Zach and Katie are characters that pull at your heartstrings as they face a future that is uncertain. Follow family, religion and tradition or step into a world full of unknowns.
I love the authors characters which struggle with the daily issues of teens. Very engaging read that kept me turning the pages and the flood which pulls the whole story together was riveting.
I can't wait for the next book in the series and highly recommend all of the Ruth Price Series! 5 golden stars!
I read a lot of westerns and western romance because, let’s face it, who doesn’t want to escape the strange and insane world we have now. Who doesn’t want to escape to a simpler time or place? The Christian romance category is listed just beneath the westerns and since I’ve always been fascinated by Amish culture, I thought I would give it a try. All I can say is, WOW! I’m now an Amish fiction fan and more importantly, a Ruth Price fan. This was the first Ruth Price novel I’ve read and I truly enjoyed every word. I love the honesty and simplicity of Amish culture and I loved the way the author crafted the story. The story and characters seemed very real.
I’ll bet that somewhere in Pennsylvania or Indiana or Ohio there are young Amish people going through the same emotional turmoil as the two main characters, Katie and Zach. The temptations of the modern world spinning by can test an Amish man or woman’s character and beliefs. At the heart of this wonderful story is the romance between Katie and Zach but the story is much more than a romance. There are twists and turns and surprises and suspense to keep you turning pages. I’m so glad I read this wonderful book.
